What is Early Middle College (EMC)?

Early Middle College is a five-year program of study approved by the Michigan Department of Education. EMC is designed to offer high school students the opportunity to earn their high school diploma and an associate degree at the same time. These credits can then be used toward a bachelor’s degree from a Michigan university.

Early Middle College with Michigan International Preparatory School

The Michigan International Preparatory School EMC allows high school students to earn college credit by completing coursework at their home high school, career or technical education program, on the Northwood University campus, and through online learning environments.

Students from the Michigan International Preparatory School can earn up to 63 college credits and an Associates of Arts in Aftermarket Management or Automotive Marketing & Management from Northwood University. You can start as early as 9th grade!

Early Middle College with Midland Public School District

The Midland Public School District EMC allows high school students to earn college credit by completing coursework at their home high school, career or technical education program, on the Northwood University campus, and through online learning environments.

Students from the Midland Public Schools can earn up to 60 college credits and an Associates of Arts in Business Management from Northwood University. You can start as early as 9th grade!

Transcripts

Send your transcripts to Northwood University.

Complete Your Tuition Authorization Form

Submit a completed Tuition Authorization Form to confirm your registration.
